Job in Chennai for Farm Manager

Job description : -

The candidate will look after all the agri-operations across our hydroponic farms in Chennai.

- They will be responsible for (but not limited to) looking after the day to day operations of the farms which includes planning, execution & scheduling of planting & transplanting, nutrient management, irrigation, HVAC control within the poly-house, pest & disease management and harvest so as to complete operations in a timely manner

- Planning and scheduling of harvest & planting cycles based on instructions from the executives.- Maintaining data records for each harvest & planting cycle and reporting to the concerned department head with the same.

- Ensuring Key Parameter indices of productivity & production are matched as per budgetary requirements.- Ensuring robust maintenance of inventory for the farm's operations so as to ensure smooth production.

-Must be able to take necessary pest control & disease prophylactic measures.- Will be travelling between farms, alternating as per farm requirements

-Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and organized manner.

Ideal candidate :

Should have a minimum of 1-3 yrs of experience. Candidates with hydroponics knowledge/ experience will be given preference. Should have a basic knowledge of MS office. Should be okay with travelling between farms , candidates with bikes preferred. Travel reimbursements will be made

Be available on weekends as the farm will be functioning through the week.

Education : A diploma/degree in Agri./Horticulture is mandatory.

Work Experience : Minimum of 1-2 yrs experience as the manager of a farm. Must have completed at least 3 cycles of harvest & planting. Hydroponic experience will be preferred.

Expected Start Date: 15/3/2021

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
