Job Description

The position is responsible for accurately handling the day-to-day accounting processes in support of our India finance operations. The person in this position is expected to have good knowledge of accounting concepts,Payroll, process controls and Tax Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end close for various balance sheet accounts and expense accounts. Activities include:
  • Standard general ledger entries,
  • Variance analysis and explanations.
  • Assist with the preparation of schedules in support of monthly financial statements;
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed flux analyses month-over-month and actual versus budget;
  • Evaluate current internal accounting and reporting process for potential improvements through automation and implement enhancements;
  • Assist with external and internal audits
  • Assist with compliance related to Income tax, TDS returns and filing, and GST
  • Assist with preparing budget for India operations
  • Resolving vendor issues, including handling vendor calls, emails, or written correspondence regarding past due invoices.
  • Good understanding on Tax laws, Case Laws and interpretation
  • Legal Drafting skills, Government Liaison
  • Review and approve employees expense reimbursement
  • Processes end-to-end payroll activities, including off-cycle payrolls and ensures that all employee earnings and deductions, at point of final calculation, are accurate and are made in compliance with payroll tax and legal requirements.

  • Must have experience in quick books and paybooks
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Extreme attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Positive attitude and ability to adapt to change.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential data
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Commerce/ Accounts
