Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- To oversee and lead day to day operations of the accounts department
- To maintain and reconcile accounts for the company
- Finalise books of accounts for the year to prepare and analyze key financial statements and company balance sheet.
- To complete and coordinate annual audits and provide recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions
- Plan, Assign and Review the team work to ensure proper accounting methods, principles and policies are being followed
- To maintain spreadsheets for monitoring and analyzing accounting data and prepare financial reports as per the agreed timelines for key monthly reports
- Process all tax compliances at monthly and quarterly level as per the timelines
- Update and maintain all tax related MIS
- Timely response to all the finance/accounts related communication with external parties
- Coordinate, execute and provide for all loan related documents with banks and suppliers
- File/maintain all important documents related to processing of bank loans
- Ensure entries are assigned to right accounts- Bank, Debtors, Cash Vouchers, Diesel to ensure proper accounting methods, principles and policies are being followed
- Review and manage sign offs on annual client contracts.
- Issue credit notes for adjustments/settling of issues in bills
- Track, maintain and execute documentation related to vehicles
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience in transport industry is a must and most important criteria
B.com Graduate / Post graduate- M.Com/ CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance/ ICWA OR similar
Knowledge of working on computers is a must with excellent Tally and Excel knowledge
Should be able to lead the team to deliver results
Good Communication skills- Spoken as well as Written
Should be able to work under pressure
At least 10 years of work experience.
Living in and around Thane city
Age below 50
