In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Advisor- Organization Development for Jhpiego India. The role’s vision is to serve as an institutional point person to provide integrated support on all aspects of organizational development for all human resources in the Jhpiego India Country office. The position will promote and lead evidence-based, high-impact interventions are the change processes that relate to interpersonal relationships, as well as group and organizational dynamics. The role is also expected to catalyze individual and intergroup relations interventions, team building, organizational interventions, organizational design for human resources, quality management, job enrichment, performance management, talent and capacity development, diversity and wellness interventions, strategic support in transformational change. The position will also support new human resource interventions, aligned with Jhpiego’s global strategy for human resources and organizational development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Ensure organizational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic goals.
•Design and implement organizational development and change management strategies, processes, and interventions, to include initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement, and diversity are the norms.
•Identify opportunities for performance improvement by undertaking internal diagnosis, and process/system reviews for understanding barriers and possible solutions.
•Develop and implement guidelines for talent management and succession planning.
•Collaborate with Program Directors for the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant ‘Professional Development Plans’ for their staff.
•Develop coaching, mentoring, and secondment guidelines to support staff development and the achievement of Personal Development Plans.
•Lead the development of the ‘Staff Skills and Knowledge Database’ for optimizing the diverse talents of the organization.
•Design and manage the new employee induction program.
•Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with the supervisor.
•Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Abilities/Skills:
•Ability to work within an international project team and communicate regularly with a variety of team members in multiple locations.
•Ability to handle a variety of assignments under strict deadlines.
•Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of any other language will be an advantage.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 suites.
•Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and a collaborative, professional team spirit.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience:
•At least a Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations/ Business Management. Additional Degrees or Certifications in Psychology, Capacity Development,T raining, Instructional Design, Coaching and Mentoring will be an advantage.
•At least 10 years of experience working with national/ international NGOs with at least 4-5 years of experience in a complex, multi-site organization.
•Track record in delivering successful human resource and organizational development projects and supporting major organizational change, influencing, building, and sustaining relationships to achieve results.
•Experience of, and commitment to, continuous organizational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
•Prior experience in working with international NGOs and public health will be an advantage.
