The team you'll be part of

Global R&D Laboratories organization is looking for Capex/Opex specialist for the Laboratory team in Bangalore. As the content owner, operator, and designer, the team enables and operates industry best-in-class R&D laboratories.

You will be working closely with a local Laboratory team and cooperating with Laboratory teams in other countries at 16 sites. You will interact with telecommunication systems in both SW and/or HW areas depending on project.

What You Will Learn And Contribute To

We are looking for lab specialist to join into Bangalore R&D Lab Operations team.

Main responsibility area is to plan, execute and maintain R&D lab operations duties in Lab Service squad.

Position duties will include various types of lab operational tasks, e.g. Capex/Opex mgmt., internal and external ordering, logistics, inventory Also managing regulatory health, safety, security and quality requirements (e.g. guidance, documentation, ESD) in R&D labs are part of position duties. This role is with emphasis on purchasing, supplier collaboration and material inbound flow coordination.

Your Skills And Experience

• 6-8 years of experience in Linux administration with 2-4 years of automation knowledge.
• Strong skill in Linux Server system administration support and troubleshooting (RHEL/Centos & Debian/Ubuntu)
• Well versed with Linux architectural features and applications like ssh, vsftp, nfs, http & DNS.
• Good knowledge about the Linux system files, Kernel, RAID, boot process and Run levels.
• Experience in Virtualization technologies such as KVM & Vmware and management of Virtual machines
• Extensive experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management.
• Good command over Scripting Languages likes Shell/Python/Perl.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Development of reporting in Power BI
  
  

Qualifications

• 10-12 years’ of overall experience, with 3-4 years of R&D Lab management or equivalent with following skills:
• Good insights and knowledge about R&D Capex/Opex management
• Strong Nokia business understanding and strategic perspective
• Guide Strategic cooperation between R&D BLs and Global Procurement
• Good inter personnel and communication skills; excellent team playe
