Job Description

Role Definition

A senior client services manager is an agency on boots, on the ground with the client, empathising with them, understanding their challenges and bottlenecks and collaborating with the team internally to present and implement effective solutions.


Your primary role is to be a consultant for the client and as a result, research, think, ideate and identify interesting opportunities/solutions while nurturing the client relationship and building a solid bond that will last a long time.


Additionally, you are responsible for protecting and nurturing client revenues for the agency and adding to it year on year by delivering significant impact.


Key skills and expectations:

  1. Articulate ideas & concepts backed by research and insights persuasively.
  2. Business communication: Speak, write and present with clarity and have a great command of English.
  3. Learning curve: Ability to swiftly learn about the client business, industry, and objectives.
  4. People skills: Ability to build and nurture relationships with all stakeholders - clients, internally, vendors, etc.
  5. Research skills: Ability to identify trends, patterns, actionable insights and more to drive the effectiveness of ideas and impact.
  6. Tracking competition: Ability to track and monitor the client competition and therefore build our own knowledge of the client business.
  7. Staying responsive: Real-time responses to WhatsApp messages from clients, internal stakeholders and client emails/calls.
  8. Staying accessible at all times: We live in a 24 x 7 365 days setup. Even while away on leave or vacation, we must be able to manage a crisis (if any) from the remotest parts of the world.
  9. Thinking on the go: Spontaneity is your best friend, the ability to spontaneously present ideas, estimating costs, and efforts, and potential bottlenecks while with a client CEO or their chairman will be immensely useful.
  10. Staying humble, agile & grounded: Nothing is owned by any one individual. We must at all times remain calm, composed and not get provoked. Not with clients. Not with our colleagues or even our own service providers. The ability to stay human is critical.


What we want you to do:

  1. Keep clients happy.
  2. Be ruthless with delivery quality, deadline, and impact.
  3. Be outcome-focused, effort is immaterial if the outcome isnot what we desire.
  4. Grow business for the agency. If not half-yearly, certainly year on year.
  5. Retain clients for longer periods of time.
  6. Consistently add value and identify opportunity costs.
  7. Guide younger client managers with your thinking/insights.
  8. Stay honest & accountable.


Preferable for the role:

  1. An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in marketing or communications
  2. Min 3-5 years experience in working in a creative setup
  3. A combination of brand management and digital marketing experience
  4. The ability to write good copy is a definite bonus
  5. Any pre-existing design knowledge is a definite bonus


Salary and Terms:

  • CTC: INR 6-8 lakhs (negotiable depending on our fit and your skills)
  • Full-time | work from office job based out of Chennai
  • 5 day work week, however, if delivery deadlines warrant, we work on weekends too
  • Lunch is on the house, should you need it. If you bring food from home, bring some for us too
  • Weekly learning sessions and interactive team bonding sessions are conducted
  • Quarterly potlucks and team outings are curated to foster team building and camaraderie


NOTE: We look forward to candidates who are looking to invest at least 3 years with us, for, we believe it takes that much time for us to understand each other and grow together.
