About Data Engineer role

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

Some key responsibilities include:

• Deploy production-grade scalable Data Science/Machine Learning based products and applications using container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Analyze and organize raw data; Build data systems and pipelines
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
• Mine raw information from different sources, explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Creating reports using analytical tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects

Ideal Candidate

Required skillset/Educational qualification

• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Python programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Docker/ Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting
• Hands on experience with analytical tools ( such as PowerBI, Tableau, OR similar )
• Well versed in cloud technologies preferably GCP services. ( OR Azure / AWS)
• Experience with Big Query/Bigtable is highly preferred. (OR Redshift/ DynamoDB/ Azure Synapse/ CosmosDB)
• Experience in working with large datasets, querying GBs of data on a regular basis.
• Database programming using any flavours of SQL.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field.
