Job Description

We have an urgent opening for: Database Architect
Experience: 6-17 years
Location: Hyderabad

1. Own the database architecture across environments.
2. Take ownership for performance, availability, reliability, security and cost of all databases within HRC.
3. Periodically review the L1 and L2 support activities, identify the scope for improvement and drive those projects.
4. Proactively look for performance and cost optimization solutions.
5. Mentor the L1, L2 support team and ensure that the teams are upskilling.
6. Work with the security and compliance projects.
7. Architect solutions for backup and recovery.

Skills required:
1. Deep experience building distributed systems at scale. You know the tradeoffs of different sharding and replication strategies; you can reason about data consistency in a distributed environment: and you know some consensus algorithms.
2. Experience in memory management, I/O tuning, cluster management, sharding, Data durability, security, networking.
3. Track record of architecting and managing highly scalable MySQL databases, worked with MySQL RDS, MySQL cluster, Aurora.
4. Explore latest technologies, design and prototype the same.
5. Have a passion for raising the bar in how a world-class database engineering culture operates.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents.
7. Technology leader, mentor junior engineers, guiding their work and supporting their professional development.
8. Expertise in Database internals and ability to optimize and tune DB engines.
9. Expertise in different MySQL HA technologies like XtraDB cluster.
10. Strong proficiency in Planning, administration of MySQL databases on cloud (aws/azure)
and on premise.
11. Expertise in debugging time critical DB problems like deadlock analysis and transaction.

Note: For those candidates who are Hyderabad local must attend interview Face to face and for those who are out station but can relocate can attend the interview via video call.
This is not a WFH work the candidates must work on hybrid model which is 2 to 3 days a week from office.
