Job Description

● Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
● Able to in writing complex DB functions to implement the business logic for the application using PostgreSQL DB
● Experience in DB Design / Architecture for applications built on microservices architecture.
● Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON.
● Preferred around 2 yrs of relevant experience as DBA (PostgreSQL DBA preferably)
● Creation of Microservices using Docker compose
● Setting up of development, staging, and production database instances, and migration from one environment to another.
● Experience in CI/CD process for on premise and cloud environments.
● Performance optimisation of database, query tuning.
● Responsible for developer SQL code review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
● Regular backups and recovery of databases.
● Regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Vacuum, Re-indexing, Archiving) including pro- active remediation of database operational problems.
● Contribute to improving and creating DBA policies, procedures and standards
