Job Description

The Selected candidate will work with a highly motivated team involved in validation of complex embedded solutions. The candidate will join with our Bangalore development centre and will be part of Core Platforms & Products team in Bangalore reporting to PM of the DC.

ROLE : V&V Designer
This position is for a highly motivated, energetic Software V&V Designer who will validate software applications for Train control systems (onboard, wayside)

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a Verification & Validation (V&V) Designer, candidate will work with a highly motivated team involved in development of complex embedded solutions. . The candidate will demonstrate that software or software components fulfils its intended use when placed in its intended environment (real or simulated). Candidate will interface with system, program, and quality teams to meet commitments for quality, cost and delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as V&V designer and collaborate with multisite stakeholders,
Develop & Execute verification and validation procedures, manual and automated tests for safety critical software.
Produce verification and validation results report and associated Change Requests (defects)
Ensure fulfilment of requirements for component under tests
Integrate components from various development team, perform integration and prepare validation platform
Use automation scripts, batch files to automate the integration and validation tasks
Contribute to continuous improvement (Return of Experience, process improvements etc.)

EDUCATION:
Bachelor/Post Graduate in Engineering IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent

Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of code libraries, reusable codes, and model-based developments, He should be agile and adaptive to Project dynamics
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
6 -9 years of experience in Software Verification and Validation.
Candidate should be very good in Unit/Component testing and Software integration testing .
Testing experience on C/C code and Vector cast is must.
Good knowledge in SDLC with expertise in Software and System testing.
Requirement Based Automation and Manual Testing.
Proven Ability to test SW modules as per their safety critical standard levels
Knowledge of the domain like networking, embedded is required
Good knowledge of testing techniques like black box, boundary value analysis, Robustness and regression analysis
Knowledge of any configuration management tool and workflow management tool is essential (ex. ClearCase, ClearQuest, ...)
Knowledge in Railway Signalling Domain is a huge advantage
