We are looking for Design and Development Manager (Gear Box) (Head) for a reputed Gear Manufacturing Organisation based at Coimbatore.\r\n

Roles and Responsibilities\r\n

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices of Engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance\r\n

Broad experience of working in an automotive environment (Electric Vehicle) for Product and Process Design.\r\n

Ability to demonstrate experience of working with relevant products (Good exposure to designing of gearbox components)\r\n

Comfortable with hands-on engineering and possess strong knowledge of production processes.\r\n

Integrity and strong commercial capability\r\n

Responsibility for the management of all Design activities including Request for Quotations (RFQs), Design freeze / release, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Verification/Product Validation (DV & PV) testing and Computer-aided engineering (CAE)\r\n

Present design, costs, changes and budgetary information effectively to senior board members and customers and provide regular progress updates\r\n

Liaise closely with all departments to fully understand design requirements\r\n

Drive forward product development, innovation and ‘think outside the box’ to generate engineering advantage for customers, thinking creatively to develop new/improved solutions\r\n

Gear box reverse engineering against sample.\r\n

Support Sales team in developing product PD, Technical Specification and quote activities\r\n

Ensure product reliability through Process Optimisation.\r\n

Reduce target Cost through design thinking across the product\r\n

Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities\r\n

Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines\r\n

Preferable from Gear Box Manufacturing / Engineering / Automobile industry.\r\n

BE / DME - with 15-20 years’ experience in Product Design.\r\n

Ability to lead design and development team to ensure the delivery of new product from the concept stage to the development of prototypes to finished products.\r\n

To have a command in EV Market, Knowledge in Drives etc.\r\n

Adept in managing VUCA situations\r\n

Should be a Goal Oriented professional with ability to transform ideas into products\r\n
