Job Description

is role will support the development and commercialization of fuel cell systems. Will support Electrical Engineering team to document electrical components, equipment, systems and networks. With appropriate guidance and direction, incumbents in this role are responsible for creating and updating the electrical design documentation. May individually contribute to or participate in electrical or multidisciplinary teams and collaboration with equipment designers and hardware engineers engaged in the design, development, and utilization of electrical components and systems. This role will support current product support as well as new product development support.

Skills:
i) Has experience in the electrical drafting discipline
ii) Use of computer assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform electrical engineering tasks
iii) 3D CAD experience (Creo, Solidworks, Inventor, Zuken E3, SolidWorks Electrical 2D & 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, PCAD and Autodesk Inventor) is a plus
iv) Works with moderate guidance on projects. v) Knowledge of electrical codes and standards
vi) Strong ability working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Viso, & PowerPoint
vii) Conveys questions, ideas, and concepts clearly and concisely to individuals and to groups, in seeking the best approach.

Technical Competencies:

Experience in Electrical Schematics design & drafting
Knowledge of Primary & Secondary Power Distribution, Power Conversion and Energy Storage of various Electrical System Design & Detailing
Design & drafting of Single line diagrams (SLD), Power Circuits & Control Circuits based on customer specification including electrical technical data and cable details associating with Multiline Schematic & 3D model Routing
Prepare Technical Specification requests (TSR’s) using Electrical Design Tool (EDT)
Power & Control Schematic, GA & Base Plate Drawings, Terminals Layout drawings, PLC Loop Drawings, Cable detailing, Flatten route diagram
Design & develop Interfacing schematics, Bill of Material, Cable Termination reports based on Industry standards using tools like E3 Series and Electrical Design tool (EDT)
Knowledge on Interface connectors, selection of crimp material, Terminals, ferrules, Heat shrinks, Tie-wraps etc.
Ability to understand functional requirements & selection of electrical components like MCCB’s, MCB’s, Contactors, switches etc. based on schematic requirement & its appropriate function
Change management during the design concept to manufacturing stage - Engineering change requests (ECR)/Engineering change orders (ECO)
Knowledge on EPDM usage for creating & release of production drawings & BOM on team center PLM
Familiar with international standards like IEC, IEEE, UL, ANSI and EWIS
