Job Description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Telemetry and Data Analytics Engineer located in Pune/Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Providing and developing reliable Monitoring, Telemetry and Observability solutions for our global network services
• Managing and supporting monitoring platforms and data technologies that will support enablement and provide insights across metrics, events, traces and logs (MELT)
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving complex telemetry and monitoring problems in a global network environment
• Manage Linux server platforms and databases for the monitoring and storage of network performance data.
• Development and implementation of data visualization tools, dashboards, and services.
• Developing and managing docker containers hosting telemetry, monitoring and visualisation services and applications.
• Collaboration with teams (internal & external) to achieve deliverables and business value goals for GNT services.
• Contributing to the delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion and being part of all stages that require Observability and Monitoring components.
• Providing documentation, presentations, and excellent written technical skills.
• Using Gitlab to manage, track projects and service development including the creation of CI/CD pipelines to support our netdevops culture transformation and automation of our telemetry services.
  
  

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Exposure in DevOps concepts such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment techniques, approaches, and tools
• Excellent understanding of observability tools and telemetry data concepts including performance monitoring, real time monitoring, Network monitoring, Capacity monitoring, database monitoring and application monitoring.
• Knowledge in Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong capable Linux skills (Redhat, Ubuntu)
• Experience with Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in SolarWinds Monitoring (SaaS), Prometheus and Grafana
• Good working understanding of networking technologies (CCNA/CCNP)
• Good understanding of Netflow, SNMP and Syslog technologies
• Experience with and using API’s (Rest , XML, JSON, Solarwinds SWIS)
• Experience with automation technologies and concepts (Ansible)
• Python and scripting skills
• Linux administration skills
