Job Description

• Key Activities
  
• Assist in the creating detailed technical design documentation & estimates
• Implementing unit tests
• Develop code as per the specifications and coding standards
• Ensure all code passes unit testing with appropriate code coverage
• Assist in peer reviews of other team members code
• Provide feedback on process to refine where necessary
• Liaise with Technical Lead, Testers and any other project stakeholders both verbally and in writing
• Technical support, including assisting with on-call support.
• Define and build transformation strategy and develop execution through Agile frameworks

  Experience in the following technologies is required:
• Microsoft .NET 3.5/4
• C#
• ASP.NET
• VB .NET
• Relational Databases like MS SQL Server
• Web frameworks like MVC
• ASP.NET Core and Web API
• 
  Experience in the following technologies is desirable:
• Integrating websites with 3rd party APIs (REST/SOAP)
• TDD / BDD (e.g. Cucumber)
• Testing frameworks
• Source Control (SVN, TFS)
• Release Management
• Power BI and Analytics
• AWS continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Qualifications and Experience
  
• Educated to degree level or higher in Computer Science or a related technology field.
• Minimum 8 years experience in with primarily Engineering and Application Development roles.
• Experience of the software development lifecycle and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong Windows Server skills including installation, configuration, security, and domain management with an emphasis moving on-prem workloads to the cloud/ Azure
• AWS administration experience
• Azure, Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps, Active Directory, Office 365 administration a plus
• Working knowledge of Visio to document architectural data flows across the enterprise and tool sets.
• Working knowledge of High Availability Cloud configurations (on-prem and cloud).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL database Cloud workloads for AWS.
• Experiences working within complex LAN architecture for triage/troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge of virtual machines (IaaS, PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Design and develop strategic engineering solutions to move towards a SaaS/PaaS solution including but not limited to Cloud adoption
• Partner with wider Operations and Technology community to deliver technology solutions, patterns and code-level blueprints
• Research relevant technologies and demonstrate their benefits by developing POCs where necessary
• Provide stewardship at critical junctures during implementation, ensure preservation of design intent in code and lead architectural code reviews
• Provide thought leadership and drive technology innovation
