Job Description

Process Document for Appointment of CEO/Accountant for FPOs

Chief Operating Officer (CEO)- Toal No. of Position -25

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: Graduate degree or higher / equivalent diploma, in the preferred fields of Agri-business management/ Social work/ Rural Management / Social Entrepreneurship / Agricultural Science / Finance & Marketing.

Age limit: Applicant should be less than 60 years, Ex- Army Officer Can Also Apply.

Salary: - Rs 20000 to 25000

Experience: - Minimum one-two years of Experience of FPO or Agribusiness related

Location: -

Uttrakhand (Dehradun- Charata and Sahaspur, Bageshwar District – Bageshwar and Garud Block)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Providing assistance in formulation of goals, strategies, plan and policies
  • Ensuring all types of legal compliances for instance Board Meeting, General Body meeting, Bookkeeping, audit, annual returns etc.
  • Ensuring all required reports as per requirement of BODs.
  • Managing day to day affairs of FPC.
  • Identifying opportunities for business of FPO/Welfare of members, business plan development, and operationalization of the business plan.
  • Provide different services to the members as per direction from BODs.
  • Information, training and awareness to the members of the FPOs as per requirement.
  • Resource mobilization and ensuring all setups which is required for FPC
  • Recruit staff as per direction of the Board of Directors and monitor them for their effectiveness.
  • Establish and operationalize different systems in the FPO- Accounting, Bookkeeping, Monitoring, Production, marketing, governance, HR etc.
  • Ensuring maintenance of all types of books of account and records in consultation with Accountant.
  • Dealing with all types of stakeholders

Accountant -Total No. of Position : - 25

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: B. Com (Preference would be given of experienced candidate)

Age limit: Applicant should be less than 60 years.

Experience : - Should be of experience of managing finance of Company, Preference would be given to those who are having Experience.

Location – Same as mentioned above

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Shall have a full time accountant who shall maintain and keep update all accounts related books and documents like cash book, ledger, voucher, stock register and other inventories etc.
  • Shall also do payment on behalf of the company through prior approval of CEO/ Chairman and per advice of the CEO of the company.
  • During the absence of a full time accountant of the company, AFM shall depute his assistant for the same. Accountant shall not be the bank signatory of the company.

Process of Hiring CEO and Accountant

  • Sharing of CEO and Accountant Eligibility Criteria and their Job description in detail to the BODs.

For the best candidate selection, a meeting with all BOD members should be held to explain the job description of the CEO and accountant. In addition, you may describe the hiring procedure in full. Also could plan timeline along with bifurcation of roles and responsibilities among BODs for instance who will take interviews, who will shortlist candidates etc.

  • Advertisement of Job role in newspapers/job portals preferably online - To be posted by FPOs in supervision of ISRN Field staff
  • Use job portals online
  • Attach a brief JD in the advertisement
  • Selection of Appropriate CVs from applications - FPOs in supervision ofISRN Field Staff
  • Applications eligibility has to be matched with the JD
  • Applications selected for interview should contain relevant work experience and information
  • 1st round of interview - Conducted by BODs empanelled with ISRN staff
  • Overall experience,
