Job Overview:
The Interior Factory Incharge is responsible for managing all production
activities within the interior manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing
the fabrication and assembly of interior products, ensuring production
schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, managing the factory
workforce, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols. The role
is crucial in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, optimizing production
processes, and ensuring timely delivery of interior products.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management: Oversee
and coordinate all aspects of interior product manufacturing, including
furniture, fixtures, and other interior design elements. Ensure the production
line meets daily targets and quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and
supervise factory workers and technicians. Assign tasks and responsibilities to
the team, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to work schedules.
Material Management: Manage
inventory of raw materials, tools, and components required for production.
Ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner and stored properly to prevent
shortages or damage.
Quality Control: Monitor the
manufacturing process to ensure products meet design specifications and quality
standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure consistency and quality in
finished products.
Production Scheduling: Develop
and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines. Coordinate with
the design, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure smooth workflows and
timely deliveries.
Process Improvement: Identify and
implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and
improve the quality of output. Recommend changes in production techniques,
equipment, or resources as needed.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure
all operations comply with safety standards and regulations. Implement safe
working practices and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a secure factory
environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee
the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Ensure machinery is in
good working order to prevent production downtime.
Reporting: Maintain detailed
records of production progress, material usage, machine performance, and any
issues that arise. Report to senior management on a regular basis about factory
performance and potential areas of concern.
Cost Management: Monitor and
control production costs to meet budgetary constraints. Optimize the use of resources
to minimize waste and reduce overhead costs.
Collaboration: Work closely with
the design and procurement teams to ensure the accurate interpretation of
design specifications and the timely availability of materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in
manufacturing, production, or interior-related fields, with at least 2 years in
a supervisory role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong
understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery used in
interior production. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and
blueprints.
Leadership Skills: Ability to
manage and motivate a diverse team of factory workers, ensuring high
performance and adherence to schedules.
Problem Solving: Strong
analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues quickly and
efficiently.
Quality Focus: A keen eye for
detail to ensure high-quality standards are maintained in all produced goods.
Time Management: Ability to
prioritize tasks, handle multiple production lines, and ensure timely
completion of orders.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of
factory safety procedures and the ability to enforce them to prevent accidents.
Communication: Strong
communication skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and
other departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Production
Management, or a related field.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant
production/management certifications.
Experience working with manufacturing software or inventory management systems.
