How you will contribute
You will work with others in Mondelēz International to determine an innovation strategy and priorities to enable consumer-centric brand growth and execute commercial innovation plans on innovation based on identified goals. In partnership with brand teams, you will define and deliver plans to renovate the core brand and to strengthen the entire portfolio through innovation and renovation. You will also manage the portfolio (which includes brand architecture). In this role, you are accountable for revenue and profit, sharing objectives as they relate to innovation, and monitoring performance against key performance indicators. Based on your deep consumer insights, brand strategy and positioning, you will integrate innovation into marketing communication plans and campaigns.

Pre Experience
5+ years marketing experience and /or Project Management experience or relevant experience - Required
Minimum 2 years in FMCG - Required
Experience working with cross cultural teams - Required
Experience working with and successfully managing 3rd party agencies and strategic partners - Preferred
Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training
Min. University degree; Marketing/Business Preferable
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project)
The Innovation Manager reports to Innovation Lead, Chocolate, Biscuit and Bakes, India, and stays in peer relations with Program Managers RD&Q and External Manufacturing, Procurement Managers, Market Activation Managers and Brand Managers, CI Managers, and Product Change Managers (PCM).
Position Purpose Statement
The Innovation manager’s role is to drive revenue growth and margin improvement by bringing successful innovation bundles into key markets.
Leading a cross functional project team, the Innovation Manager manages the innovation process, from identification of opportunity areas to pre-launch business proposition.
The scope of this role covers:
Supports product innovation projects for India business, which would include format innovation with in existing brands or new brands and segments entry
Supports filling the innovation funnels identifying new platforms, opportunity areas and product concepts.
Supports the strategic and annual business plan process with regards to innovation
Contributes to the evolution of the innovation culture, i.e. provide external orientation, test & learns new tools/ methodologies to evolve (I2M) capabilities.

Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Product Innovation delivery
The Innovation manager supports the delivery of India scaled, superior product innovations which are either new category / segment entry, major NPD in existing segment, or line extensions based on existing technology and formats and which deliver sustainable, incremental and profitable revenue potential;
The Innovation manager supports the development of new product bundle ready-for-launch (from concept idea to final) that includes positioning, portfolio development, product (range), (branding), naming, pack structure and design, pricing & profitability and capital expenditure.
The Innovation manager collaborates effectively with cross functional, multi-country teams and engages internal and external partners.
Innovation funnel refill
The Innovation manager supports innovation funnel refill, covering both platform/opportunity area identification and idea generations.
The Innovation manager helps to identify platform/opportunity areas via trend watching, desk research (U&A, market trends, market structure studies), consumer understanding initiatives (identification behavioural groups / segmentation / insights / need states), competitive gap analyses, financial opportunity scaling, technological/R&D trends assessment, country needs assessment, brainstorming and external consultation. Cover product and packaging;
The Innovation manager supports AMEA idea generation processes and assures AMEA specific concept development and testing.
The Innovation manager cooperates effectively with external innovation agencies.
Portfolio Management
The Innovation manager contributes to portfolio management for the category both in terms of brand architecture and of portfolio analysis
The Innovation manager maintains awareness of global portfolios and where appropriate, supports recommendations about lift adapt and shift global winning bundles in India market
Biscuit Innovation vision and roadmap
The Innovation Manager pro-actively delivers valuable contributions to the continuous improvement of the India Innovation vision and roadmap.
The Innovation Manager makes strategic recommendations based on learning/ insights following investigations as described in ‘innovation funnel’ section
Inspiring the Passion for Innovation
The Innovation Manager inspires a Passion for Innovation and “Out of the Box” thinking throughout the NPD teams in particular and pro-actively contributes to an overall cultural change.
The Innovation Manager challenges the Status Quo and advocates “Play To Win” mindset and the courage to use judgement wherever it can replace research.
The Innovation Manager fosters team spirit beyond hierarchical structures.
The Innovation Manager recommends and implements actions contributing to an overall increasing innovative company behaviour and improved, streamlined processes
Post Launch Evaluation management
The Innovation Manager supports post launch evaluation of the developed NP’s and set up of India NP tracking.
The Innovation Manager supports/coordinates post launch evaluations according to I2M
