Job Description
As our customer base increases, we are looking to expand our data and infrastructure team by hiring a Junior Infrastructure Engineer. You'll be customer and delivery focused with broadly relevant skills & experience. You'll have a desire to expand your career both technically and in project management alongside the right attitude to contribute to “doing” as well as “planning”.
What you'll do
- Support continuous integration & delivery pipelines.
- Support production SaaS systems and products.
- Maintain connections of distributed data acquisition devices and sensors.
- Configure and optimizing data flow to Onyx cloud-based software and data tools.
- Work with large corporations to design & implement secure data pipelines from their corporate networks.
- Provide reports, presentations, and other proactive communication to internal & external clients.
- Manage and prioritising multiple projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Command line Linux (preferably Red Hat)
- IT Systems Administration
- TCP/IP networking, routing, and security
- At least a working knowledge of NGINX
- a BS in a relevant Engineering or Science area
- IT knowledge, including large and automated data transfer, VPN technologies, and databases.
- Systems networking and integration experience
- Understanding databases, e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Bash and/or Python scripting experience
- AWS/Azure/GCP administration experience
- A customer & service focussed mindset.
- Strong communication skills including presentations, leading client meetings.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Innovative in problem-solving
- Willing to learn new skills such as software packages, cloud technology and areas of engineering.
- An excellent self-manager and can work flexibly without close supervision.
- Willing to work closely with local and team members and international offices.
