Job Description
The Ecosystem of Rakuten Group is constantly growing its membership and variety of its services. To sustain the rapid growth and usage, a robust infrastructure needs to be in place to support the increasing demands of mission critical applications.
We are seeking for a highly motivated and team oriented engineer who is passionate to immerse into various network technologies to automate and improve the network integration of Rakuten global infrastructure platform.
Position: Network Engineer (BDS)
Required Education:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
-6-9 yrs of Experience.
-Grade : BB or BBB
Responsibilities
- Tasks for service network. (Router/L2, L3 Switch/Load Balancer/Firewall/DNS).
- Installation, Configuration and Maintenance
- Analysis and tuning over
- Trouble shooting
- Monitoring/alert response and resolution
- Packet analyze
- Operational tasks (LB configuration/ACL configuration/DNS record configuration/etc.) by using automation tools. (ansible/chef)
- Raising support service request with vendors and working towards resolution of the issues.
Desired Skills :
- work experience in DC network engineering (switch / router / load balancer / firewall / DNS)
- work experience in Linux server
- work experience in scripting. (bash/perl/python/etc.)
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP and OSI) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.)
- Solid understanding about spine/leaf architecture, Overlay/Underlay network,VXLAN,EVPN
- Vendors: Cisco(IOS NX-OS),Brocade,Cumulus,Juniper,Pfsense
- Solid understanding of network operations, debugging of new products and networks, packet level analysis of network and network protocols.
- Strong hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of F5/Netscaler/A10 Load Balancers.
- Good understanding of SSL/TLS offloading/termination and cipher suites.
- Good understanding of BIND and should have hands on experience working on any DNS tool(IPAM/Infoblox.)
- Any scripting language for automating the network related activities.
- Monitoring Tool: Grafana,prometheus
