Operations Manager in this group is expected to interact directly with Amazon internal and external stakeholders across the globe to deliver on operational goals, drive process improvements and deliver business value. The person will be expected to be skilled in understanding customer needs, setting and managing expectations, building customer confidence through effective communication, reliable delivery, robust processes, and sound reporting metrics. The person will also be responsible for driving cost reduction (through process standardization and automation), quality improvements (by adopting appropriate audit and measurement mechanisms), and business impact across programs through policy changes and improvements in data quality and service delivery. The person will work with cross skilled team of associates (technical & non-technical) and business analysts to carry out business critical processes. The individual would be responsible for overall planning, budgeting, growth, delivery, process efficiency and productivity for their work groups.
Key Performance Areas/Responsibilities Include:
. Manage the team of SMEs and Leads and ensure high service delivery and execution
. People Management (leadership role, team management, floor control and retention)
. Analyzing Inflow trend and highlighting gaps
. Formulate, Implement, Track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the Team
. Manage programs, processes and Metrics along with other tasks
. Drive cross functional projects to deliver business value for the team be part of projects involving new feature definition to improve processes and reduce cost
. Work with data engineering team and Software development teams to improve tools, processes and reporting dashboards
. Analyze historical data to build quality improvement initiatives and drive quality strategies across the network
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. . Work experience is preferred (2 - 4 years) and managed a team directly for at least 2 years.
. . MBA from repute institute
. . Exposure to data mining tools like SQL ,SAS, SPSS etc
. . Has managed critical operational processes, with end to end business responsibility.
. Good analytical, oral and written communication skills
. . Experience in direct-to-customer fulfillment operations, similar hands-on experience
. . Experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects
. . Experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies
. Process definition and optimization skills proven ability to define effective, efficient, and scalable processes and drive continuous improvement through root cause identification and defect elimination.
. . Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions.Good analytical, mediation and problem resolution skills.
. . Must be metrics-driven. Have a background in quantitative decision making, ability to drive business/operations metrics, and driving adoption of different tools and resources.
. . Excellent written and oral communication skills. Skilled in collaborative management environment, succeeding through regular meetings and clear formal and informal communication with members of various teams.
. . Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
