About the position
GEMS Modern Academy, Kochi first authorized Cambridge / IB PYP school has been thoughtfully constructed to provide a learning environment that’s filled with opportunities to discover, explore and have fun.
As the school continues to grow, we are looking for outstanding, creative and passionate PYP Teachers for our primary department. Successful applicants will have the following:

• Bachelor degree and a certified teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in an International curriculum school is desired, IB experience is essential.
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is needed to work closely with students and parents.
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• Familiar with school systems and strong IT skills.

• Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.
• Support the school implementation of appropriate practice in the primary years of education
• Participate in the design, development, implementation and review of assessment and reporting system
• Participate in professional development and contribute to regular staff training/meetings
• Work collaboratively with others to develop effective professional relationships
• Communicate effectively with parents with regard to pupils’ achievements and well-being
• Empower students to feel responsible and to take action
• Ensure that children with learning differences are provided with appropriately differentiated programmes
• Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and subjects that you teach
