Job Description

Quizizz helps teachers do two things

1. Turn their tests and assessments from something most students dread into an event that students look forward to.
2. Turn lectures from a one-way information delivery system that most students are least bothered by into an engaging conversation.

Teachers have been really kind to us. Because we built something useful for them, they rewarded us by telling their colleagues about Quizizz. This propelled us to become one of the top 5 ed-tech platforms in the world.

75 million teachers and students use Quizizz in over 100 countries every month. We haven't spent a single dollar on marketing or acquiring new customers.

Our mission is to motivate students in every classroom(with teachers). We have made significant progress, but we still have a long way to go. This is why we need you.

Requirements

On a typical day, you will...

• Identify missed opportunities in the product, track goals, and ship to learn.
• Craft onboarding experiences, optimize monetization flows, and reimagine the UX of pivotal moments in a customer journey.
• Together, we will design tons of growth experiments, and we will move numbers.
• Be the voice in the room that always puts the user first—constantly looking for ways to accomplish business objectives through experiences that are delightful and meaningful for real people.
• Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into creative ideas and informed design decisions.
• Drive a high level of visual fidelity across products.
• Provide and solicit actionable feedback to move designs forward.
• Evaluate shipped work across multiple releases, perform continuous discovery and experimentation, and craft improvements.

You will thrive in this role if you...

• Can ship. Shipping is an extremely important part of the culture at Quizizz - you should be effectively be able to support this - meaning you have diverse skillsets from generating wild ideas to bringing those - once agreed upon - to production-ready designs.
• Have past experience designing experiments to drive learnings or evaluating designs through A/B testing
• are proficient at iterating and circulating concepts with peers and building toward high confidence proposals, effectively prototyping and storytelling at various fidelities throughout the process.
• Are a natural experimenter, eager to try and learn from failures
• Can leverage quantitative data to inform your design decisions
• Are able to manage projects autonomously and serve as a design expert with the Growth team.
• Are an advocate for customers and the value of a design-led approach.
• Can communicate and defend your design decisions, but also have the humility to acknowledge feedback and make changes when required.
• Effectively organize and communicate your thoughts to teammates and across the organization.
