Job Description
The Role:
Develop sound understanding in the business use cases, product features and technology architecture
Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents
Participate in test automation tool writing or selection process for automation requirements
Develop and execute automated tests using the available framework, and develop part of the framework as per the automation requirement
Configure the necessary test environment including OS installation, network configuration and application deployment
Communicate testing status and issues on a regular basis adhering to existing process of QA
Analyze post production defects and initiative improvements in the engineering process
The ability to participate effectively in estimation and planning is desired
The Basics:
B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.E from an accredited university or college with professional experience between 9 to 12 years in software testing and at least 3 years of pure test automation
Your Specialties:
Clear understanding of programming concepts like OOPS. Programming ability in C# or Java is a must. A working understanding of automation tools like QTP, Selenium, Test Complete, Appium and any scripting language would be an added advantage
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
Preferred Experience with testing complex web and client server applications.
Preferred Experience in agile development practices
Hands on experience on QTP, Selenium, Test complete, JMeter and Appium
Selenium for web UI automation (advanced knowledge with test object models)
WIN-32 automation with Sikulix / Java Robot / other WIN-32 automation (advanced knowledge)
JUnit 5 Jupiter for Unit Testing
RestAssured for Integration Testing of REST services
Jasmin for JavaScript library testing (or equivalent framework)
Test Process (test case, smoke testing, regression testing)
Bonus Points!
Having VMWare workstation knowledge will be an added advantage
Experience in Performance and Security testing is desired
Good to have Unix/Linux and Database working knowledge
