Job Description

Typically as an HR Operations - HR Advisor:

PURPOSE

  • Support line managers on simple to medium complexity HR matters (e.g. policy related queries)
  • Provide end-to-end HR Advice to Line Managers
  • Liaise with HR experts to get input on complex cases
  • Provide coaching & feedback to line managers

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivering HR advice to employees and line managers; supporting managers with HR-related cases.
  • Provide seamless end-to-end resolution of HR queries to line managers and employees. Queries may include, but not limited to: Exit/ Redundancy management; Policy guidance; Absence management; Leave, Retirement, Benefits advice
  • Support Line Managers with Organizational Management, related to organizational changes and resourcing.
  • Support Line Managers with local and global policy queries.
  • Apply policies to specific business situations, including determining exceptions.
  • Support with the execution of global/local change initiatives.
  • Upon request, provide insight to line managers through analysis of data from Workday and other HR Systems.
  • Responsible for delivering great employee experience through pro-actively addressing employee and line manager needs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to line managers, equipping to line managers to deal with HR related matters in a correct and compliant way.
  • Support the execution and timely delivery of critical business change initiatives. This includes, but not limited to: Country-specific organization redesign implementation; business/function ramp-up or demobilization events, requiring cross-HR co-ordination e.g. Talent, Integrated Resourcing and International Mobility.

DIMENSIONS

  • Executes processes requiring decision making and interpretation of policy, within defined boundaries. Nature of work involves good overview and knowledge of end to end HR policies, processes & systems. Acts as Process Focal Point / Subject Matter Expert for larger / more complex process - understands the specifics/mechanics as well as intent behind it to action work.
  • Works within a variety of well-defined procedures and practices and is supervised on progress and results; informs management about analysis outcomes. Handles exception mgmt. via decision trees & precedent – knows when to escalate. Supports onboarding and upskilling of new team members. Makes decisions on standard situations.
  • Triggers Workday business processes on behalf of LM.

Typically as International Mobility Specialist:

  • Role is responsible for handling complex international transfer cases, quality assurance tasks, capability building (including coaching and training) and supporting CI initiatives for the IM team.
  • Handle complex transfer cases for the regional team (e.g. SEG transfer, mass move and new country entry) and may be required to handle other transfer cases during high peak period. Assist Team Leads and SMEs in handling complex/escalation cases. Translate the support and interventions into learning/coaching moments for the advisors.
  • Provide on the job coaching and feedback to IM Advisors as well as assisting in handling policy and process queries. Support in cultivating and embedding world class customer service (behaviours, competencies and skills) among the team of advisors. Coordinate and deliver the required ad hoc and planned trainings and workshops to address knowledge and skill gap, ensuring specific team needs are met in timely manner. This includes the New Joiners on boarding, training in soft skills and communication as well as QA-related trainings.
  • Plan, execute and support Quality Assurance activities as agreed with the IM Ops Managers and Team leads, ensuring compliant and quality process delivery consistent with the design, service delivery standards, controls and requirements. These could be broken down (but not limited to) to the following tasks: Quality check, International Transfer Survey Analysis, WIP analysis (EIC, GTC), Briefing Calls compliance, CLI etc.
  • Work closely with Operational Team Leaders sharing results of coaching and quality assessments (e.g. Quality Checks) to support building of consistent development goals and focus areas, in line with individual IM Advisors competency assessment and IDPs. Partake in CI projects. Proactively identifying gaps and proposing opportunities for improvement on processes and training needs for operational efficiency and upskilling of individuals respectively. Act as a change ambassador in CI and new initiatives roll out to embed changes.
  • Attend and contribute into global forum for IM specialists to assess and align priorities, process and ways of working, training and coaching agenda as well as delivery approach. Responsible for knowledge management (of the relevant training materials under IM Specialist scope) for the team, ensure that information is maintained and team members are updated on the changes. Work with Learning and relevant program content.
