Description / Responsibilities
To lead the maintenance/instrumentation technicians of an assigned Shift, responsible for specific packaging line(s) or unit(s), with overall responsibility of performance. Provide technical resource when mechanical or electrical issues are escalated. Provide daily task management and direction setting. Ensure assigned area performs as expected by ensuring overall standards are maintained. Single shift leadership responsibilities; provide coaching and development opportunities for team members and facilitate and encourage teamwork.
Ensures debottlenecking the breakdowns of complex nature including advanced planned maintenance with respect to Instrumentation, certified inspections.
Develops equipment/ component improvement programs, supports predictive maintenance, develop inspection programs, Utility equipment operation.
Develops equipment/ component improvement programs, perform predictive maintenance, develop inspection programs, advanced PLC, and equipment redesign (Both Standard and Non-Standard Conditions). Operation and safety of Utility equipment.
Set the direction of shift team and ensure overall performance of the team to meet objectives for productivity and process reliability. Develops and tracks the right KPIs indicating the performance of engineering vertical.
Ensures safety, regulatory, statutory compliances, develops GMP standards, ensuring a safe work environment and reporting food safety issues to the site leadership. Participates in cross-functional improvement teams and problem solving activities.
Provides technical expertise for both break down/ utility/ other electrical issues escalated by Maintenance technicians. Coaches maintenance technician to increase skill development.
Investigate and communicate root cause failure analysis, including recommending and implement resolutions.
Communicate daily with Team Managers & team and follow up on corrective action assignments. Develops the capability of team which can read and interpret blue prints and manuals
Participate in the interview process, training, mentoring and coaching the team, ensures on-boarding and early development of team members.
Maintaining appropriate controls and track of inventory of spare & consumable. Ensures the traction and judicious spend on the financial diligence, budget control.
Leading and managing the vendor engagement, external calibration coordination, Supporting and enabling Project execution and documentation as per CQV guideline
Education & Experience
(B.Tech / BE) Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication engineering with relevant experience of 3-5 Yrs. Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial Instrumentation engineer role, preferably in the food/ Beverage/ FMCG industry.
