Job Description
An SEM Specialist’s duties include creating strategies with prominent search engines, developing and testing new keywords, managing Pay-Per-Click campaigns, analyzing click-through data and conducting research.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data on internet site access destinations, customer preferences, and buying habits to identify potential markets.
- Conduct research on online consumer trends to predict successful electronic marketing strategies.
- Seek and provide information to help companies determine new online customer markets.
- Measure and assess customer satisfaction of website
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
- Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
- Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links.
- Writing and editing HTML, manipulating cascading style sheets (CSS), and an understanding of website design and usability
- Should also have a thorough understanding of marketing principles and be able to apply these to Internet marketing.
Requirements
- Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
- Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
