Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:
    ● Responsible for reviewing/analyzing all the Daily submitted SAM Team Software Tickets in Service Now ad take necessary actions.
    ● Provide support services ranging from user assistance, software installs, purchase assistance, renewals, removals, entitlement and proof of purchase tracking, network scan reconciliation, download asistance, procurement package documentation.
    ● Processing new software purchases and applying to the appropriate software license as approved in Fexera
    ● Working with technology & business teams to ensure that all in-scope devices are reporting into the Fexera database and Retirements are also processed in a timely manner
    ● Manage software license agreements and identify rules, obligations, and product metrics to ensure cmpliance with all software licenses agreements and software usage.
    ●Monitoring and identifying compliance risks of software licenses
    ● Identify opportunities for cost savings, working with the Software Asset Manager to address efficiency, renewal, and commercial issues.
    ● Assist in Software audit activities, working closely with the technology, procurement, cyber security &legal teams
    ● Work with the packaging teams to ensure deployment methods and media are correctly operating in line wth license restrictions
    ● Answers software license related questions pertaining to number of installs, purchases and provide licensing knowledge and advisory services to stakeholders to maximize the value of Software Asset Management.
    ● Monitor software maintenance renewal requirements, coordinating with software owners on operational requirements
    ●Contribute to software process improvements and automation
    ● Collect and maintain accurate Software Licensing information in repositories to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, cost and internal and external audit queries
Desired Candidate Profile:
    ●Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in a software asset management role
    ●Experience with Software Asset Management tools, such as: Flexera, Service Now or Aspera
    ● Knowledge of vendor software contracts, licensing terminology, and software licensing rights, especially for major software vendors (IBM, Oracle, CA, Microsoft).
    ● Hands on experience with reconciling software licensing and software maintenance terms and conditions between procured rights and quantities with compliant deployment of software assets.
    ● Must be able to independently interpret, analyze, & summarize contracts, and evaluate pricing & licensing proposals and Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail.
    ● Proven experience and ability to calculate vendor licensing models, familiarity of SAP, OVM, VMware and Microsoft and other Tier 1 vendor license models and Working knowledge of current IT technologies ad full understanding of industry practices
    ●Hands on with overall the IT Software procurement life cycle and best practices
    ●Strong problem-solving with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    ●Advanced interpersonal skills ability to work effectively with internal contacts and vendors
    ●CSAM certification or similar certification (preferred but not required)
    ●Proven results in software cost avoidance/savings
    ● Experience with IT Hardware Asset management is a plus
