Job Description

Your responsibilities Design and deliver cloud platform architecture documents detailing, the vision for how infrastructure and platform services support the overall application architecture.
Should be a go to person for Cloud related queries and Architectural decisions.
Should be open to work on Azure, AWS and Google Cloud platform services.
Excellent knowledge of cloud services and their pricing and should be able to diligently design the architecture with the right services.
Understand functional and technical requirements and deliver a comprehensive high-level design document.
Should be able to drive an idea from creation to realization and capable enough to drive PoC's.
Have working knowledge of architecture disciplines including application, database, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
Should be able to handle technical queries pertaining to cloud and backend applications.
Identify and implement best practices, tools and standards.
Should be able to closely work with DevOps team.
Should be able to design system reliability, availability, scale, and performance activities.
Should be able to technically estimate the tasks.

Required Skills A seasoned professional who has extensively worked as a solution expert or architect for medium to complex applications deployed in cloud.
Should have strong design concepts related to application, choice of database (sql or nosql), storage and caching technologies.
Strong Cloud concept and working knowledge (especially on PaaS offerings) and ability to architect cloud agnostic applications.

Strong experience in microservices architecture and twelve factor design.
Should have worked with REST API based frameworks and API Gateways, CORS, ingresses and service discovery.
Have experience in working on projects where applications/services were containerized as docker images and hosted on container orchestrated cluster (preferably Kubernetes)
Should be proficient in application performance tuning / profiling and able to solve performance latency, availability or memory related issues effectively.
Proven background in design and implementation of large scale, global, complex custom application development systems (e.g., high transaction volumes).
Experience in problem solving issues on globally distributed systems and critical product service environments
Capable enough to technical deep dive into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed in a multi-tier architecture
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools. (Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines).
Should have knowledge on security aspects like authentication, authorization and encryption (both Rest and Transit).
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with customers.
Should be able to represent architectural plans in drawing format and do team briefings.
Act as a bridge between developers, POs and PMs and help convert requirements to full blown architectural plans (HLDs and LLDs).

Desired Skills Knowledge in developing microservices with Python (preferably with Flask/Django frameworks).
Concepts related to Multithreading, Multitasking, parallelism, concurrency, distributed object locks to help team develop efficient algorithms.
Experience working with Cloud services like Azure App service, Azure functions (serverless), Logic Apps, Lambda functions, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, AKS, EKS, ACR, ECR, S3, etc.
Knowledge on message brokers or streaming services will be an added advantage
Experience with service SLA, health and performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Datadog, Prometheus, Graphana, etc.
Hands-on experience with DevOps and release management tools is an added advantage.
Knowledge on oAuth and JWT for token-based authentication, TLS certificates, encryption methodologies like MD5 SHA256, AES, base64, etc.), MFA, IAM, etc.
Experience on Open-Source Software (OSS) License risks and mitigations.
Knowledge of drawing tools like PlantUML, draw.io, MS Visio, etc. for drawing sequence, system, component, integration level diagrams.
