JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DESIGNER – Process Engineering Role Description •Developing Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow diagrams (PFD), Utility Flow diagrams (UFD), as per the Cad Manual / Drafting basis. Develop first draft based on the information provided by the Process Engineer. •Carry out all drafting activities as per the Client requirement / Project Specification. •Quality assurance as per Company’s Quality procedures. •Keeping records and maintaining files of the issued drawing with 'Master copy' stamp for mark the changes in the issued drawings for next revisions. •Simple drawings of equipment (Autocad or Microsoft visio) for attachment with Process Datasheet. •Performing all the duties assigned and directed by his Supervisor. •Need to refer drawings of other discipline and co-ordinate. •As Built drawing preparation. Technical Competency •Should have very good competency in 2D software Autocad, microstation and Microsoft Visio. •Should have knowledge of Smart plant PID (SPPID). •Brief knowledge of oil & gas industries and P&ID development procedures with respect to 2D drawings preparation. •Conversant with Legend drawings and incorporation of same in P&IDs. •Preparation of Line list (Data input/Verification) •Should have knowledge of 3D review software (e.g. Smart plant review, Navis Works) •Microsoft Office suite. Character Competencies •Proactive & initiative •Multi-Tasking abilities Physical Effort and Work Environment •Duties performed mostly in main office. Occasionally would require traveling to sites. Approximately, 90-100% time spent on the computer. Supervisory Responsibility •Co-ordinate with other designers. Minimum Requirement •Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of drafting related experience preferable from a background in working for EPC organizations of the Oil and Gas industry.
